WASHINGTON D.C. The following statement may be attributed to Judi Greenwald, executive director of the Nuclear Innovation Alliance:
“As we consider how best to support the development and deployment of advanced nuclear power as a climate and clean energy solution, understanding project development will be increasingly important. The deployment of advanced nuclear energy requires project developers prepared to put pieces of the project together, invest in and carry out the initial project development work. In our new paper by Senior Fellow Stephen Greene, we consider what must be done to develop projects successfully and the challenges to project development for nuclear energy projects. The complexity of project development and the challenges to development of nuclear energy projects are critical for stakeholders to understand in light of the increased interest in growing the supply of nuclear energy. We hope that this new paper will provide a roadmap for a broad range of stakeholders interested in the role of nuclear power in meeting our climate and energy commitments.”
